IN THE WOMB

Wow! When I came across this illustration, I am awed and this must go into my blog......a reminder that we tend to only see the tangible world that we are in now and that there is a bigger world out there in the infinity....called eternal life! Life in this world is just like in the womb......read on below.

Once upon a time, twin boys were conceived in the womb. Seconds, minutes, hours passed as the two embryonic lives developed. The spark of life grew and each tiny brain began to take shape and form. With the development of their brain came feeling, and with feeling, perception-a perception of surroundings, of each other, and their own lives. They discovered that life was good, and they laughed and rejoiced in their hearts.
One said to the other, “We are sure lucky to have been conceived and to have this wonderful world.”
The other chimed in, “Yes, blessed be our mother who gave us life and each other.”
Each of the twins continued to grow and soon their arms and fingers, legs and toes began to take shape. They stretched their bodies and churned and turned in their little world. They explored it and found the life cord which gave them life from their mother’s blood. They were grateful for this new discovery and sang, “How great is the love of our mother-that she shares all she has with us!”
Weeks passed into months and with the advent of each new month, they noticed a change in each other and in themselves.
“We are changing,“ one said. “What can it mean?”
“It means, “said the other, “that we are drawing near to birth.”
An unsettling chill crept over the two. They were afraid of birth, for they knew that it meant leaving their wonderful world behind.
Said the one, “Were it up to me, I would live here forever.”
“But we must be born,” said the other. “It has happened to all the others.” Indeed, there was evidence inside the womb that the mother had carried life before theirs.
“And I believe that there is life after birth, don’t you?”
“How can there be life after birth?” cried the one. “Do we not shed our life cord and also the blood tissue when we are born? And have you ever talked to anyone that has been born? Has anyone ever re-entered the womb after birth to describe what birth is like? NO!” As he spoke, he fell into despair, and in his despair he moaned,” If the purpose of conception and our growth inside the womb is to end in birth, then truly our life is senseless.” He clutched his precious life cord to his breast and said,” And if this is so, and life is absurd, then there really can be no mother!”
“But there is a mother,” protested the other. “Who else gave us nourishment? Who else created this world for us?”
“We get our nourishment from this cord-and our world has always been here!” said the one. “And if there is a mother-where is she? Have you ever seen her? Does she ever talk to you? NO! We invented the mother when we were young because it satisfied a need in us. It made us feel secure and happy.”
Thus, while the one raved and despair, the other resigned himself to birth and placed his trust in the hands of his mother. Hours turned into days, and days into weeks. And soon it was time. They both knew their birth was at hand, and they both feared what they did not know. As the one was first to be conceived, so he was the first to be born, the other following.
They cried as they were born into the light. They coughed out fluid and gasped the dry air. And when they were sure they had been born, they opened their eyes-seeing life after birth for the very first time. What they saw was the beautiful eyes of their mother, as they were cradled lovingly in her arms. THEY WERE HOME.

A lady of excellence - Mother Teresa

We live before a world that sees the things we do and the achievements we made. On the other hand, Mother Teresa sees it this way............

"At the end of our lives, we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made or how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in."

Happiness

Hmmm...another interesting article to think about. Maybe not totally true, I don't know. It is about happiness! Who doesn't want to be happy? Maybe by being a millionaire I will be happy? Am I in a state of total happiness? No, really not....I am totally drained at times, worrying over so many things etc etc etc!

Somehow, God sort of spoke to me............

"What you are is God's gift to you.
What you make yourself is your gift to God."

"Worry is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but doesn't get you any place."

"Worry is the interest you pay when you borrow trouble."

I like this one...................hehhee

"The only fellow whose troubles are all behind him is a school-bus driver!"

OK, this is the main article, here goes................

We fall into the error of thinking that happiness necessarily involves ease, diversion, tranquility - a state in which all of one's wishes are satisfied.

For most people, happiness is not to be found in this vegetative state but in striving toward meaningful goals. The dedicated person has not achieved all of his goals. His life is the endless pursuit of goals, some of them unattainable. He may never have time to surround himself with luxuries. He may often be tense, worried, fatigued. He has little of the leisure one associates with the storybook conception of happiness. But he has found a more meaningful happiness.

The truth is that happiness in the sense of total gratification is not a state to which man can aspire.

It is for cows, possibly for the birds, but not for us.

take time

aahhh.....what a long absence after getting myself busy busy busy with so many things that somehow requires time and attention, and then I came upon this inspirational words that seems to fit into what I am currently experiencing.

it says...................

take time to think,
it is the source of power

take time to play,
it is the secret of perpetual power

take time to read,
it is the foundation of wisdom

take time to pray,
it is the greatest power on earth

take time to love and be loved,
it is a God given privilege

take time to be friendly,
it is the road to happiness

take time to laugh,
it is the music of the soul

take time to give,
it is too short a day to be selfish.

Gosh, time is so precious and it is only the thing that everyone in this world, whether great or just normal people on the street are given the same amount of "time" each day.

"Days are like suitcases. By careful arrangement, some people can pack more into them than other people can."

"Don't thou love life? Then waste not time; for time is the stuff that life is made of."

Finally I would say as a prayer.....

"As a stone gathers moss in the woods by a rill,

So we fashion our lives for good or for ill,

By a thought, a word, a deed, or a smile,

As I live my life, Lord, make it worthwhile."

Feeling, Faith And Fact

Three men were walking on a wall - FEELING, FAITH and FACT. FEELING took an awful fall, and FAITH was taken back. FAITH was so close to FEELING that he then fell down too, but FACT remained and pull FAITH up, and FAITH brought FEELING too.

Seeing from above

I have read this story some time ago and would like to share how we so often looked at situation or circumstances narrowly and not see it on wider perspective.

'A story is once told about an old man and his son who lived in an abandoned fort. One day the only horse the old man owned wandered away, and his neighbours came by to express their sorrow over his misfortune. "How do you know it is ill-fortune?" he asked.

A week later his horse returned leading a herd of wild horses. The old man's friends exulted in his good fortune.

Soon after that his son started to ride one of the horses and fell off and broke his leg. The neighbour's again express their sorrows. "How do you know it's bad?" the man asked.

The following week a war lord came through the village enlisting young men for battle. He would not take the old man's son because of his broken leg. The neighbours rejoice over the favourable turn of events. "How do you know it's favourable?" said the old man.'

Believe it or not, there seems to be a purpose behind every problem and every problem is a character-building opportunity. Circumstances are temporary but character last forever. This story helps me to take comfort that there is greater purpose in store for us........

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." ~ Romans 8:28

Easter as I see it

I see disunity among Christians,
I see no peace among nations,
I see the Gospel twisted of its facts,
And I see now why God had to act!

I see deterioration in moral values of the human race,
I see corruption and injustice showing its ugly face,
I see no hope for us all at this age,
But yet I see each individual knitted and created in God’s image!

I see sky scrappers and man-made achievement,
I see man’s pride with all it’s invention,
I see self-reliance is the key to life,
And I see now why Christ had to give up his life!

I see nature being plundered and raped,
I see no hope for all the creatures that God made,
I see how marvelous God's hand in all creation,
And I see only through Christ, we can have redemption!

I see the cross where you and I should be the one carrying,
I see death as our destiny with eternal suffering,
I see this journey to Calvary no one is prepare to take,
And I see Christ who took all these for our sake!

”My God, My God, Why have thou forsaken me?”

I see pain on His face at Calvary,
I see grief and sadness, with breath barely,
I see much tears and blood that were shed,
But I do not see Him showing any regret!

I see bondage in the human race,
I see death and destruction we will surely face,
I see God’s intervention in human history,
And I see hope, for Christ who died and now arose in all glory!

”Forgive them for they know not what they are doing”

I see sadness,
I see gentleness,
I see forgiveness,
And I see love manifested in all its greatness!

I see Christ as the living Savior,
I see His grace is for all without condition or favor,
I see salvation if we only believe,
And I see there is hope with God's full pardon......what a relief!

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” ~ Joshua 24:15

I see Christ ascended up in glory,
I see now this is the Gospel story,
I see no matter who says whatsoever the contrary,
I will still declare....He lives! He lives! And He lives in me.....what a mystery!
